Simon Harrison – energy directorSimon
Harrison is responsible for business development in the Group’s
energy business.
As chair of the Energy Sector Panel of the IET (formerly the
Institution of Electrical Engineers) and a participant in several
government and industry bodies, he provides leadership in the
development of policy relating to secure, low carbon, affordable
energy, advocating in particular aggressive action to reduce
emissions through taking a holistic view of the energy value chain.
Simon has taken a leading role in developing Mott MacDonald's
business in wind, biomass, hydropower and other renewables, as well
as clean defence mechanism projects.
He also provides leadership in advisory services in project
financed infrastructure across Mott MacDonald, and for front end
development of private sector infrastructure projects, including
advising owners, financiers, utilities and governments on
commercial, risk and technical issues.
