Philip Napier-Moore, Senior Energy and Low-Carbon
AdvisorPhilip is a MEng qualified engineer/economist with a
focus on techno-economic analysis of renewable energy and other
low-carbon power generation technologies. His main areas of
professional interest include:
- Feasibility analysis and due diligence for new and emerging
sustainable energy technologies, in particular offshore wind using
large turbines and CO2 capture from fossil fuel generation
- Energy market studies for a number of biomass plants, including
sustainable sourcing of biofuel feedstocks
- Carbon trading systems – EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS),
Kyoto flexible mechanisms (CDM/JI)
- Low-carbon energy projects, also including biogas, biomass,
hydrogen energy systems and concentrating solar thermal
projects
Philip has managed energy advisory projects for the World Bank, IEA
Greenhouse Gas (IEA GHG) R&D Programme, the UK government, and
a number of private investors and developers.
