Isabel Boira-Segarra, energy and carbon
expertIsabel Boira-Segarra is the Group’s head of
renewables/low carbon and an associate in our energy business.
Isabel holds a PhD in Energy Policy and is the author of a
Financial Times Management Report on The Electricity Industry in
Spain.
Isabel leads diverse teams and has played key roles in policy and
strategy assignments in energy, including climate change and
sustainability issues. She has also examined the operations of
overseas power markets, has been involved in a number of
acquisition and divestiture projects undertaking commercial, and
risk appraisals.
Has managed a number of strategic initiatives relevant to the
development of sustainable and low carbon strategies – including
carbon trading, development of emission reduction projects, and
carbon footprinting. Isabel’s experience in sustainability and the
climate change policy sector is built on a number of years working
in an advisory role for governments, blue chip companies,
regulators, the lending community, carbon funds managers and carbon
investors on projects world-wide.
