Emma Denton, Health expertWith a degree in
Maths and Economics, and a Masters in Health Economics, Emma Denton
has worked as an economist in one of the largest health authorities
in the UK, before moving onto consultancy, firstly with the London
Health Economics Consortium, and HLSP since 2000.
At HLSP, Emma has been the regional director for Central and South
Eastern Europe in the DFID Health Systems Resource Centre; deputy
director of the HLSP Institute; and has recently been appointed as
the head of Europe for HLSP. She also covers corporate
responsibility and sustainability for HLSP.
Emma specialises in health economics, financial analysis and
economic evaluation, and has undertaken project reviews, health
sector reviews and performance assessments for low and middle
income countries, development partners and the new Global Health
Partnerships, most recently GAVI – the Global Alliance for Vaccines
and Immunisation. Emma’s work for GAVI included designing a new
$500 million window of support to strengthen health systems, and
writing the guidelines to enable countries to apply for support.
Emma has worked in the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa, south east Asia,
South America, the Balkans and India.
