Our health specialists are helping implement HIV and
AIDS programmes world-wide. Part of this work involves ensuring
that prevention messages have local relevance and
impact
As a global Group we recognise the social, institutional and
infrastructural dimensions of development and have a deep insight
into regional issues and aspirations.
We’re combining our cross-sector skills covering health, education,
water and sanitation, environment and infrastructure to help bring
about positive change for vulnerable communities and work towards
the targets espoused by the Millennium Development Goals. These
range from halving extreme poverty to combating debilitating and
potentially fatal diseases and providing universal primary
education, all by the target date of 2015.
In close co-operation with governments, NGOs, bilateral and
multi-lateral agencies we’re helping develop the capacity of our
country level partners, so they can meet the challenges of
development in a sustainable manner. For example our health and
education specialists are helping reform and develop services in
many low and middle income countries by building partnerships at
all levels of government and society.
