We are experienced in carrying out environmental
impact assessments for all kinds of developments including major
road schemes
Environmental planning and environmental impact assessments
(EIAs) form a core element of Mott MacDonald's business.
Our expertise and experience with environmental assessments
includes projects as significant and diverse as helping to
understand and better protect the rich biodiversity of West Tien
Shan’s national parks (a unique area extending through Kazakhstan
and Kyrgyzstan), cable car projects in Hong Kong and the Crossrail
and A3 Hindhead tunnel schemes in the UK.
Our EIA team comprises experts from various scientific disciplines,
including ecology, landscape architecture, noise, archaeology, air
pollution modelling, planning, hydrology and hydrogeology.
The range of EIAs conducted by our environmental team includes
major transport infrastructure projects and energy schemes, as well
as projects focusing on site improvement and redevelopment. Some
recent EIA projects include the A303 Stonehenge Re-routing Scheme
in Wiltshire and the A3 Hindhead road scheme on behalf of the
Highways Agency, Tees Transfer scheme for Yorkshire Water and the
Lerwick landfill site for Shetland Islands Council.
